Castelló (Spain). 29th September 2023

Last Friday, Sept. 29th, the University Jaume I celebrated the second edition of SCIENCE GTS: The Night of European Researchers, an annual event to disseminate science among the city’s population, providing a space for dialogue between the public and the scientific staff to bring science closer and make it more understandable.

The GRAPE research group could not miss the date, and we set up a stand to share what we are doing daily in our offices and labs. Delved into multimodal communication as we are, our stand presented activities to raise awareness on multimodal communication among children and families. Furthermore, participants were able to test first-hand a multimodal annotation software developed by our group: the GRAPE MARS (Multimodal Annotation Research Software) intended to identify and label semiotic resources.

SCIENCE GTS was organized by the Unit of Scientific Disclosure and Citizen Science of the Vice-Rectorate for Innovation, Transfer and Scientific Disclosure. It is associated with the «European Night of Researchers and Researchers» initiative of the European Union and financed by the European Commission through the Horizon MSCA and Citizens 2022 program (Subsidy Agreement No. 101061179). The activities of the public university of Castelló are added to those organized simultaneously in the public universities and other centers of research and scientific dissemination in Spain and Europe.
