Dr. Inmaculada Fortanet-Gómez is full professor in English Studies at Universitat Jaume I (Castellón, Spain), where she co-chairs the Group for Research on Academic and Professional English (GRAPE).
She has more than 100 articles and chapters published in high-ranked journals and books.Her research interests are related to multimodal discourse analysis, CLIL, and Content and Language Integrated Learning in Higher Education.

Mª Noelia Ruiz Madrid is Head of the Departament and Senior lecturer in the Department of English Studies at Universitat Jaume I (Castellón, Spain), where she teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the areas of EAP, ESP and EFL methodology.

Her research interests are related to Multimodal Discourse Analysis, EMI and CLIL, and ICT applied to language learning. She has published in JEAP, Discourse Studies, Language and Communication, Ibérica, Multimodal Communication, Routledge, Springer and Peter Lang, among others.

Juan C. Palmer Silveira, PhD in English Philology is currently working as an Associate Professor at Universitat Jaume I, where is also coordinating the University Master in English Language for International Trade (ELIT). His main research fields are English for professional and academic purposes and English for Business Communication.
He has published in relevant international journals and in well-known publishing houses.

Miguel F. Ruiz-Garrido is an Associate Professor at Universitat Jaume I (Castelló, Spain). His main teaching and research fields are English for professional and academic purposes (e.g. English for Business Communication, English for Nursing, ICLHE). He has published in relevant international journals (Business and Professional Communication Quarterly, Ibérica, ESP Today, British Journal of Educational Technology, System, LFE) and in well-known publishing houses (Rodopi, Routledge, John Benjamins).

Nuria Edo-Marzá is Associate Professor (tenured) in the Department of English Studies at Universitat Jaume I. She is member of the GRAPE group. Her main research areas include specialised languages, corpus linguistics, specialised lexicography, academic English, multimodality, and discourse analysis. She is the author of The Specialised Lexicographical Approach: A Step Further in Dictionary-Making (2009), published by Peter Lang, and has also published several papers in prestigious international journals such as Ibérica, Lingüística, Revista Signos or Porta Linguarum.

Dr. Carolina Girón-García is a Lecturer at Universitat Jaume I (Spain) and holds a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics. Her research interests concern autonomy in language learning, EFL and ESP teaching and learning through ICTs, as well as the analysis and application of different types of discourse (ie., academic and professional) in English, especially from a multimodal perspective.

Vicent Beltrán-Palanques is a lecturer in the Department of English at Universitat Jaume I (Castellón, Spain). His research interests include multimodal literacy, multimodal discourse analysis, English-medium education, and ESP/EAP pedagogies. His recent publications have appeared in journals such as System, JEAP, and ESP Journal, and in international publishers such as Routledge and Springer.

Dr. Edgar Bernad-Mechó is Assistant Professor at Universitat Jaume I, Spain. He specializes in the use of metadiscourse and multimodality in academic contexts and for science dissemination. He has published papers in journals like the Journal of English for Academic Purposes or Discourse Studies, and co-edited a special issue on multimodality for Ibérica and a volume on English as a Medium of Instruction and multimodality for Routledge. In his recent studies he has explored the modal density and coherence of YouTube videos for science dissemination and looked at the use of humor and other engagement strategies in science communication online.

Julia Valeiras-Jurado holds a Doctor’s Degree in Linguistics from Jaume I University and Ghent University. She is assistant professor at Universitat Jaume I. Her research interests include oral discourse and genres, persuasive language, multimodality and multimodal genre pedagogy. Her publications have appeared in Ibérica, Discourse Studies, Multimodal Communication, International Journal of English Studies and Journal of English for Academic Purposes, among others.

Enzo Boggio López (award for Excellence in Academic Performance 2018) is a PhD student in Applied Linguistics, with a predoctoral contract (UJI program). For his doctoral thesis, he is conducting a multimodal analysis of EMI (English Medium of Instruction) lecturers’ discourse, co-directed by Noelia Ruiz Madrid and Vicent Beltrán Palanques

Carmen Notari is an associate teacher, linguistic advisor and teacher trainer at Universitat Jaume I, Castelló. She is an experienced ESL teacher at secondary and tertiary education, which has led her to be involved in several European projects. She is an examiner and member of the CertACLES committee and a member of the Educational Innovation Group for English Teaching, GIEDA. Her research interests are related to EMI teaching and CLIL.

Giulia Ciaramita graduated in Languages at the University of Turin.
She is a PhD student both at Jaume I University and at the University of Turin. She is currently investigating the employment and teaching of mediation in Secondary Education in both Italy and Spain. Furthermore, she teaches French as a Second Language in an Italian High School.

María Ángeles Mestre-Segarra is currently a researcher in training in the PhD Program in Applied Languages, Literature and Translation. She has experience as a secondary English teacher and as an associate teacher at the English Studies Department at UJI. Furthermore, she participates actively as a member of the Group for Research on Academic and Professional English (GRAPE). Her main research interests are related to oral digital genres, multimodality, Multimodal Discourse Analysis and persuasion. She has recently published in prestigious journals, such as System and ESP Today.

Lorena Bort-Mir is a linguist interested in studying multimodal figurative language. She is also interested in developing new research lines between linguistics and AI. She is a lecturer in ESP at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV). Outside of academia, she collaborates with entrepreneurs as a business idea and marketing consultant and has founded three start-ups, winning several technological innovation awards.

María Cristina Urloi is currently a PhD candidate at Universitat Jaume I (Spain). She completed the Master’s degree in English Language for International Trade where she developed a great interest in research on the ESP and, in particular, Business English. Her primary topics of research focus on the discourse analysis and multimodality applied to written business communication.

Viktoriia Drobotun is an Assistant Professor at Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (Ukraine). She is an author of 30 scholarly publications. Her research interests lie in the area of Cognitive Linguistics, Cross Cultural Communication, Pedagogy and Language Testing and Assessment.
Working on the completion of the thesis: Language images of Britain and India (colonial period).

Nuria Escobar Lluch is a researcher in training since November 2022. After finishing the Bachelor’s Degree in English Studies and the Master’s Degree in Secondary Teaching, she worked as a teacher of English and Spanish to teenagers. Her main research interest revolves around ICT for the teaching and learning of English as a foreign language and its relationship with multimodality and translanguaging.

Anita Cvetkovic Kienle is a PhD student at the Universitat Jaume I (Castellón, Spain) and ESP teacher at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences in Frankfurt (Germany). She has been teaching EFL and ESP in different European countries for over 10 years. Her academic work mostly focuses on the role of technology in language learning and teaching with telecollaboration. As a research associate, she has worked in two EU projects the University of Education Schwäbisch Gmünd (Germany):
